How to Pay with Crypto

Buying Bitcoin with CashApp

You can withdraw Bitcoin from your Cash App to a third-party Bitcoin wallet at any time. To do so:

Toggle from USD to BTC by tapping “USD” on your Cash App home screen.

Select Bitcoin

Enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to withdraw (you can toggle between BTC or USD)
Either tap the top left corner of the screen to access the QR code scanner or tap Send to enter the external wallet address manually
Tap wallet address to confirm
Tap Next
Select a withdrawal speed
Tap Confirm & Send to initiate your withdrawal.

If this is your first time withdrawing Bitcoin, you may need to enter some additional personal information before making a withdrawal.

You need to withdraw at least 0.001 bitcoin to make a withdrawal using the Standard withdrawal speed.

Create or Log In to Your Account
Open your preferred crypto app or exchange and sign in. If you’re new, complete account registration.
Complete Identity Verification (If Required)
For card purchases, platforms usually require basic identity verification (name, address, ID, and sometimes a selfie).
Go to the Buy Crypto Section
From the home screen, tap Buy, Trade, or Buy Crypto.
Select the Cryptocurrency
Choose the crypto you want to purchase (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT).
Enter the Purchase Amount
Enter the amount you want to buy. You can usually toggle between USD and crypto amount.
Choose Payment Method
Select Credit Card or Debit Card as your payment option.
Add Your Card Details
Enter your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address. Some platforms save the card for future use.
Review Fees and Exchange Rate
Check the transaction summary, including card processing fees and the final amount of crypto you’ll receive.
Confirm the Purchase
Tap Buy, Confirm, or Complete Purchase. You may need to verify the transaction via OTP, 3D Secure, or your bank app.
Receive Your Crypto
Once approved, the crypto is credited instantly or within a few minutes to your wallet on the platform.
